About
Photographer Sam, based in The Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire has had more than 5 years developing his skills and craft for capturing the little details.
I picked up a camera about six years ago, it was an attachment for my phone at the time and just produced some lovely photos. It peaked my interest on how I could manipulate the image to have the same theme or even become dreamy. A few years later I got myself a Sony A5000 and instantly fell in love with it, the joy of capturing the world through a lens and telling a story. Growing up in the English countryside taught me to notice the quiet beauty in light, texture, and small details. I love to be in nature and just be outside experiencing life. I studied architecture while at university which helped sharpened my attention to detail and gave me a deeper appreciation for structure, form, and the spaces we inhabit.
As I moved from rural landscapes to urban environments, that foundation evolved into an obsession with street photography —seeking out the energy, character, and fleeting stories hidden in everyday city life.
For me, photography is more than just taking pictures; it’s a way of connecting with people, places, and moments that might otherwise go unseen.
